Ricco kicked out of the Tour for EPO – from what’s on TV it seems he also shares personality traits w/ Vino of days gone by. Doesn’t make sense to me why sponsors don’t write clauses demanding year round/ramdom testing for full transparency. Why aren’t Tour organizers requiring all riders to be tested? Will both parties just argue the cost of such a program? If a business pulls a sponsorship and is associated with the bad press of a doper’s arrest, it seems to be as big or bigger of a hit to take. I don’t think the various sectors of the pro cycling community is really putting 100% effort behind cleaning up the sport yet.
